Who are you?
Flood; internationally published photographer, multimedia artist and Bill Hicks fan. I am endlessly fascinated by creative humans.
Why photography?
If I spend too many days without looking through the viewfinder, I start to feel wrong, detached I guess.
Everything about a camera is appealing to me; It feels like a versatile weapon in my hands, firing off a few rounds is better than the first cigarette of the day & I love the smell of fixer in the morning.
Guns, cigarettes and "Apocalypse Now", a charming analogy isn't it? The truth is, I am not a big fan of guns and I kicked the smoking habit a few years ago, but photography... yeah, I am completely hooked on it.
What do you shoot?
Lately - I shoot people. I love to see what happens when a model, my minds eye and the camera all get on the same page for a 1/125 of a second.
Can I buy or license any or your work?
Yes, please! If you see something you like, please let me know. I work with a great lab and can have almost any of my work printed in various sizes, matted, signed and shipped to you - by me.

Ever since I had the opportunity to shoot beneath the surface of the water off the Kona Coast of Hawaii, I have had a desire to create images that are peaceful, ambient and meditative.
I have no idea how this will translate into my work over time, but I am looking forward to the journey.

I am well, preparing for the hurricane that is running up the east coast of the Untied States. Hoping to get some good images and not sustain too much damage in the process. Thanks for your kind words - It's awesome to know that someone appreciates the images I obsess over.
I take a lot of my inspiration from the music that I am listening to, lately its been a lot of David Bowie and The Cure. Speaking of music, nice choice with Mariqueen

Oh. I heard about the hurricane heading for the East which came as a bit of surprise. Last I heard, it was heading for Florida.. Made me feel bad.. First, the earthquake and now a hurricane. I hope you will be careful! Good images of the hurricane? Be careful and don't die! The world needs your art!
I'm glad you enjoyed Mariqueen. :] She is really amazing! The lyrics she sings have inspired so many photography ideas for me.. I just don't see myself actually doing them for a long while so they will continue to be only mere images in my head..
